We are back! We are living life!

I don't know what has gotten in the way of my blog posts besides my sister's diagnosis of Stage 4 cancer, my aunt's sudden death, my kids reaching major milestones such as losing teeth, getting teeth, or 1st grade, walking or protecting the earth from aliens (which is what Roman has accomplished lately), coaching soccer, learning Ukrainian, or an IRS audit. However, we have been busy. I am back - we are back... more to come

Holy Cow, your life has been full. I'm so sorry to hear about Dana... that's enough to turn your world upside down.

They Said What?

3/24/09 Amelia was watching TV with an advertisement for the music from the 50's and 60's - the oldies but goodies! She asked me when did dinosaurs live? I said 100's of years ago, she said in the 50's
3/7/09 I told Roman that Grandpa Hanson had passed away (died) last year. He said with a gun? I said no just because he was a lot older...Roman said "so ONLY with a SWORD?"
2/11/09 Amelia asked "when is ValenTIMEs Day?"
2/3/09 While fixing Roman's hair because it was sticking up, he said "I don't want to be handsome!"
1/23/09 Amelia asked me why I wear glasses. I told her because my eyes are bad & getting old. She looked at me puzzled and said, "but you are young!"
1/22/09 I asked Roman to get ready for school while I had the Today show on, he said "After I watch Barack Obama, I want to watch Barack Obama!" You would have thought I was turning off the Wiggles
1/12/08 - Amelia will be taking Spanish soon. She said she was excited about it because she can tell secrets in Spanish & no one will know what she is saying
12/30/08 - Roman & Amelia often have races to see who will be first up the stairs. Amelia will say first one up is the winner. Roman ran up the stairs saying very proudly "I am the loser! I am the loser!" He was so proud
12/25/08 - While we were at mass on Christmas Day Roman saw the priest and said "Daddy, he has a cape!"
11/13/08 - While we were eating dinner one night, Roman had a cold. Borys said Roman cover your mouth...and use your fork! Roman picked up his fork and coughed on it
11/5/08 - I asked Amelia what she learned about in school. She said the Presidential election. She said she voted for Obama, Helena said she voted for the Elephants!!!!!!!
