Lemonade Stand

I was the type of mother I hope to be...well, for a few hours at least. On Saturday, Amelia found a bag of suckers and proceeded to tell me they were for sale. I decided to buy two from her and then it took off…the idea of a lemonade stand. She quickly realized she could make a quick buck or two or three. However, she also decided to sell a rather interesting collection of her toys, books, and bracelets. I encouraged her to set-up her business and with the help of her brother, she did pretty well. She made $10 actually, thanks to the help of family & friends that I called & begged to come over to help with the effort. I encouraged her to yell when cars drove by or when neighbors walked by…Lemonade for Sale! Roman had the best set of lungs for that task & was not timid at all whereas Amelia was; however, once her first cup was sold she was good to go. Around noon when all the lemonade was sold and it was getting too hot, they decided to pack it up. It was really cute though and I am glad that I encouraged it.
